fairly certain this will become a rant, but we'll see.

so i went for a hike yesterday with a friend of mine from class. we have done this before, in my mind maybe a year at most ago, turns out it was far longer than that. college has destroyed my ability to keep long term time accurately in my mind. when i'm in the middle of a semester a day is just three classes and a lunch with homework surrounding, a week is just one really long day, and a month is a long week. a year of class just flies by while i struggle to stay on top of the next week's assignments. anyways back to the hike, we went on the hike and i brought my camera, same as the last time, except this time i actually bothered to use it.

good news being i'll be posting new pictures (not crappy sketches) this weekend sometime, likely tomorrow at some point. debating posting the one picture of my friend. in my mind i had some ridiculous concept i would get her to pose for me at some point but i never got around to it beyond the first shot that i kind of broadsided her with, kind of like how i never brought out the camera on the first hike.

the weather was good for a hike, actually in the middle of a heatwave for this part of the country but we spent most the time in the trees or close to the water so it wasnt too bad. i think i found 3 places that i took pictures, ended up with about 30 shots, i'd guess about 6 quality ones at best. when we go on these hikes (this is hike #2 in as many years...so this isnt saying much) i focus more on making sure i know where we are in relationship to different landmarks and talking to her than i do actually looking for good landscapes to shoot. so i dont get much progress done in the photography thing.

its not like i'm really going to get anywhere with this girl she claims she has a boyfriend (no comment on the guy besides i dont like him) and i havent really figured out where she stands on basically all the fun stuff (sex, etc). i'm leaning towards a policy that she says once thing and is meaning another, but i just dont know. i'm 99% sure shes using the guy as a shield so she doesnt have to date, could be shes waiting for me to make a move too, not really sure.
